"Neuroprosthetics" is a summer school at the intersection of neuroscience, engineering, AI, and medicine. The event will include presentations from international researchers, industry professionals, and students, as well as panel discussions and several other educational activities focused on the development, research, and commercialization of neural interfaces. The summer school consists of an intensive program held one full day per week in May (for a total of three days), plus one day in early June, with additional didactic activities in the preceding and following weeks. Participants will study the development of electronic interfaces with the nervous system, focusing on topics such as neuroprosthetic applications for sensory restoration and motor rehabilitation, neural interfaces supporting autonomic and cognitive function, and the trade-offs between invasiveness and efficacy.
